NEW YORK ART FAIRS

SPRING 2024

The fair returns to The Shed in New York this year with a new curator for Focus, more than 60 galleries from 25 countries and an extensive program of events and activations

Future Fair is an art exhibition platform which builds both digital and in-person events that enable growth for small business art galleries and the artists they support. In an industry that is often heralded for lack of access, Future Fair endeavors to be an approachable environment that allows new, more diverse voices to thrive in a typically competitive landscape.

Now in its 10th year, this edition will see 1-54 expand its dilating imprint upon the city by relocating to Chelsea, in the heart of Manhattan, once again coinciding with Frieze New York. The fair will be held at the Starrett-Lehigh Building, 255 11th Avenue for the first time, a premier property recognised as a creative campus for influential companies across fashion, entertainment, media, architecture and design.

This year’s fair represents a diverse selection of galleries from Lagos and Lausanne to Miami and London, including eight 1-54 participants making their debut at the fair. This expansion underscores the fair’s commitment to showcasing the richness and diversity of contemporary African art on a global stage.

NADA is pleased to present the 10th edition of NADA New York, to take place Thursday, May 2nd through Sunday, May 5th at 548 West in West Chelsea’s gallery district.

NADA New York 2024 will showcase a dynamic selection from 92 galleries, art spaces, and non-profit organizations spanning 15 countries and 31 cities including Athens, Bucharest, Ghent, Montreal, New York, Portland, Warsaw, and Seoul. This year’s exhibitors list showcases 59 NADA Members and 34 first-time exhibitors. The fair also features the return of TD Bank Curated Spotlight, a special section organized by curator and writer Simon Wu featuring five presentations from exhibiting galleries, as well as NADA Presents, a programming series of conversations bringing together voices in art and culture

Independent New York was established in 2010, as a consciously scaled art fair focused on inspiring relevant art encounters for a well-informed and devoted Contemporary Art audience. Independent 20th Century premiered in 2022 to champion artists and international avant garde movements that took place between 1900-2000, in a historical setting (the Battery Maritime Building was built in 1908).

Independent New York and Independent 20th Century together premiere internationally recognized artists, spotlight lesser known narratives, or feature a side of a canonical artist’s practice that even well-informed collectors and museums find worthy of further curatorial and market attention.

Established in 1988, The European Fine Art Foundation (TEFAF) is widely regarded as the world's preeminent organization for fine art, antiques, and design. TEFAF produces two fairs internationally-TEFAF Maastricht, which presents over 7,000 years of art history, and TEFAF New York, focused on modern and contemporary art and design.
