How to understand Black art across the diaspora

Art Advisory Services

ISE-DA's art advisory services are customized to fit our client's specific requirements. Our advisors help clients outline a strategy for their collection, identify a budget, and explore what is available in the market.

ISE-DA’s art advisory is unique as we focus on art collecting past a transactional service. As our platform prioritizes cultural stewardship, our advisory services include ideating opportunities for our clients to use their collections as a conduit for engagement with the wider African diasporic community, both within and outside of the art world.

Our all-inclusive advisory services include but are not limited to:

  • Education about the art market

  • Research and market analysis and monitoring

  • Acquisition and sales management

  • Facilitation of studio visits

  • Gallery and art fair tours

  • Client representation at auction and during private negotation

  • Transportation, delivery, and installation of artwork

  • Collection management

ISE-DA’s advisory is currently providing the below services:

Private Advisory

Our private advisory supports individuals looking to develop cohesive and culturally informative art collections. This includes collections management, education about the market, and sourcing artworks.

Special Projects

Special Projects are one-off or annual events such as developing programming, site-specific collection building, exhibitions, and large-scale curatorial projects. Examples include ISE-DA’s selection as a cultural partner for Carnegie Hall’s city-wide Afrofuturism festival and ISE-DA’s development of Cultural DC’s TORRRENTS: New Links to Black Futures program.

We additionally help with curating spaces for private membership clubs.

Corporate Programming

Providing internal corporate programming around art collecting and the importance of Cultural Stewardship. Past examples includes our programming with Newell Brands.

ISE-DA’s New Collectors’ Program

ISE-DA's New Collectors’ Program is a membership that provides exclusive access to exhibitions, art professionals, and more. Future events will include private tours of fairs, studios, and auctions houses, with each increasing tier providing more education and advisory opportunities for members.

With our initial kick-off in 2022, members of our program were given exclusive access to exhibitions, works by Black artists, and built relationships with key professionals in the art industry.
